BH Global Corporation Ltd is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, BOS Engineering International Pte Ltd (‘BOSI’) has acquired Sea Forrest Engineering Pte Ltd (‘SFE’) as of 1st Jan 2021. BH Global believes that the acquisition will expand and value add to the business of the Group’s Integration Engineering Division and also synergizes with the Group’s Electrical and Technical Supply Division.

As part of the acquisition, Mr George Lee is appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Group’s Integration Engineering Division. The Board believes that Mr Lee’s extensive engineering and project management experience will add value to the business of the Integration Engineering Division.

Mr Lee has 20 years of experience in the offshore O&G and marine industry. He started as Keppel scholar and worked as Project Engineer and Project Manager at Keppel Fels. Subsequently, he multi-tasked as Project
Director, CTO and Marketing Director in Yantai Raffles Offshore Ltd / CIMC, managing 700 engineers and many key projects and new developments. He was running his own business under Sea Forrest group of companies after his return to Singapore from China, until the Target Company was acquired by the Group.

Sea Forrest Engineering Pte Ltd (‘SFE’) focuses on providing vessels’ Afloat Repair and Structural Steel Fabrication, Project Management and Procurement Management services .

George Lee will also head the Group’s new entity – Sea Forrest Power Solutions Pte Ltd(‘SFP’), to focus on driving the growth of Marine Electrification business.

In line with the Group’s Transformation roadmap, Marine Electrification is one of the key initiatives in mid to long term plan of the Group’s drive towards a Sustainable future. In the push for Global decarbonization, the Group
recognises the rapid uptake of marine electric/ hybrid propulsion projects and the immense potential of sustainable energy developments.

In February 2020, the Group entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with strategic project partners Penguin International Limited, Danfoss, Durapower Technology (Singapore) Pte Ltd and Bureau Vitas Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd for the joint design, development, and construction of Singapore’s first plug-in parallel hybrid electric fast launch. The scope of cooperation includes integrating hybrid electric solutions, testing and certification. The know-how
generated will support Singapore’s push towards the adoption of hybrid electric propulsion systems for its maritime industry.

SFP successfully completed, commissioned and delivered the privately funded landmark Hybrid electric Vessel project ,  It is leveraging on the extensive experience gained in the maiden project to explore new opportunities
in the maritime industry’s drives for decarbonization, in line with International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Singapore’s targeted goals of GHG reductions. The Group aims to be a leading player in Singapore’s Maritime
industry by offering environmentally friendly and commercially viable solutions, with continual efforts on research and development and collaborations with local and International Institutions and partners.
